Angela Chafin Obituary
Angela L. Chafin, 61, of Holly Springs, N.C., went to be with our Lord on June 24, 2006. She was born August 20, 1944, in Rivesville, WV, the daughter of the late Nick and Lucy Morrone Decarlo.
Survivors include her husband, Don C. Chafin of Holly Springs, N.C., five children, Denise M. (Moore) Chiartas and husband, Greg of Charleston, WV, James R. Moore, II and wife, Brenda of Fairmont, WV, Sherrie Eucker and husband, Scott of Pataskala, OH, Dawn Rasmusson and husband, Charles of Dublin, OH, and Victoria Sauber and husband, Brian of Denver, CO. Also surviving are a brother, Nick DeCarlo, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Monongah, WV, a sister, Antoinette Haught and husband, Andy of Barrackville, WV; and eight grandchildren, Tyler and Elliott Chiartas, Kayla Satterfield, Joshua Moore, Alyssa, Rose and Donald Rasmusson, and Brian Sauber, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John DeCarlo, in-laws, Marion and Virginia Chafin, and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Chafin.
Angela was a hairdresser for Hair Designers of Cary, NC and a member of Hope Community Church of Raleigh, NC. She graduated from Rivesville High School in 1962 and the Morgantown, WV Beauty College in 1964. She is the former owner/operator of Hair Designs Unlimited in Fairmont, WV and a licensed beautician for over 40 years. Angie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an inspiration to all her family. She loved people and never met a stranger. She had the unique ability to make life-long friends instantly and always lit up a room. She was devoted to bringing joy to everyone. She touched many lives and will remain in our hearts forever. For the past 12 years, Angie and her husband have traveled extensively enjoying making new friends, their cultures and foods. She, also, had a passion for cooking and entertaining family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Angie's life will be held on Saturday, July 8th at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Hope Community Church. The church is located at 821 Buck JonesRoad, Raleigh, N.C. Refreshments will be served following the service.
Funeral services were conducted on July 5 in Fairmont, WV.
