Ann Crumpler Obituary

Ann Butler Crumpler

December 18, 1940 - September 15, 2024

Raleigh, North Carolina - Ann Butler Crumpler (December 18, 1940 - September 15, 2024), of Raleigh North Carolina, was the only daughter of Charles Robert Butler and Mozelle Ingle Butler of Siler City who preceded her in death. Ann graduated from Jordan Matthews High School and then graduated from East Carolina University where she was a member of Chi Omega social sorority.

After attending college, she began a 5-year career in teaching. Because of her love for history and politics, she became active in N.C. and U.S. politics. After her children Kristen and Meredith were school-age, she began what would be a long and successful sales and marketing career.

Ann traveled extensively to 125 countries during her career. She loved the adventure and the challenges. Ann loved family, travel, reading, and to be sure, shopping!

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Crumpler, two daughters, Kristin Worrell, and Meredith Furr (Husband Jeff Furr) granddaughters, Blayne Furr and Anna Brooke Furr, all of Raleigh. She is also survived by several cousins and step grandsons Andrew and Ethan Crumpler of the D.C. area.

A private, family celebration of life will be held at Benson Memorial United Methodist church where she was a long-time active member.

Any donations in Ann's name would be appreciated to the Benson Memorial United Methodist Church or to St. Jude's.
