Bruce Robert Herrmann, age 46, of Raleigh, died Monday April 25, 2011 in Raleigh.
He was born March 30, 1965 in Nassau County, New York, son of the late Carol Thobaben Herrmann and Robert Harold Herrmann.
As a youngster Bruce was very athletic and enjoyed basketball and skateboarding. As an adult he was an avid racquetball player.
He is survived by a sister Nancy Turner and husband Ronnie of Zebulon; special children Jacob Nichols, Albany Turner, and Ashleigh Whitaker; and two nieces Kimberly Turner and Caley Turner.
Bruce had a free and loving spirit about him, and was very generous and outgoing. His giving nature led him to be an organ donor.
He did not know a stranger and had many special friends over the years, too numerous to list.
A memorial gathering will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the home of Ronnie and Nancy Turner in Zebulon. Online condolences at
