Carolyn Hall Williams

Sanford, North Carolina - Carolyn Hall Williams, age 96, formerly of Holly Springs, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025.
Born to George William Hall and Pearl Welch Hall, Carolyn grew up in a loving home alongside her siblings Allen Henry Hall, Millard Lee Hall, George Harold Hall, and Sarah Rachel Hall Mims. She later married the love of her life, the late Nathan T. Williams, and together they built a life filled with devotion to family, faith, and community.
Carolyn was the proud mother of one son, Kevin Hall Williams, and his wife Sherry Parrish Williams. She was a cherished grandmother to grandson Mitchell Kevin Williams and his wife Jennifer Meigs Williams, and granddaughter Rebecca Williams Ledford and her husband Johnny Curtis Ledford. Carolyn's family grew with the arrival of her two great-granddaughters, Amelia Margaret Williams and Caroline Faith Ledford.
Her life was marked by kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those she held dear. Carolyn will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her dedication to her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her 96 years. Carolyn was a lifelong active member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Holly Springs NC. She served numerous terms as deacon and was treasurer for over 40 years.
She had a deep love for capturing memories through photography, creating countless photo albums that told the story of her family's life. These treasured collections remain a lasting gift to her loved ones - a reflection of her care, her creativity, and her desire to preserve special moments. Carolyn was also a talented seamstress whose skill and creativity produced many beautiful garments and quilts over the years. In the kitchen, she was known for her delicious cooking, preparing meals that brought family and friends together. She also enjoyed playing the piano, filling her home with music and joy. Her grandchildren, who referred to her as Nana, share fond memories of cooking with her and listening to her play hymns on the piano.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at Thomas' Funeral Home Chapel in Fuquay Varina on Saturday, August 16 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
