Charles Casey Obituary
He grew up on a farm in Lenoir County, NC, Graduated from Southwood High School in 1957 and from King's Business College, Raleigh, NC in 1959. He worked 14 years in the Railroad industry with the Atlantic Coast Line in Wilmington, NC, and Jacksonville, FL., and for the Norfolk Southern Line in Raleigh, NC. He next worked with the NC Employee's Deferred Compensation Plan as Investment Counselor and as Executive Director. The last 16 years of his career was as Long-Term Care Specialist with Amex Life and G.E. Capital Insurance.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Casey Ballance (Eddie) of Seven Lakes, NC; brother, Delbert L. Casey (Sharon) of Ocala, CL; and stepson, Cameron Karchner (Jon Williams) of Raleigh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah; parents; son, Greg and brothers, Paul and Blythe Casey.
Since 1993, he was an active member of several congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A brief memorial service will be held on February 21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1468 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, NC 28387.
