Cindy M. Shore
Durham
Durham – Mrs. Cindy M. Shore, 59, died Saturday morning after a brief but brave battle with cancer at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mrs. Shore was born and raised in Durham. She graduated from Durham High School and attended Greensboro College. She taught preschool at Westminster Presbyterian Church for 20 years. For many years, she served as Rehearsal Chair for the Durham Debutante Ball Society. She was an avid tennis player, and most of all, a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bill Shore, daughters, Kristen Bourn and her husband, Eric, of Chapel Hill, Jillian Good and her husband, Justin, of Raleigh; grandchildren, William Bourn, Laynie Bourn, and Tatom Good; brothers, Jim Montsinger and his wife, Jenifer, Monty Montsinger and his wife, Susan, both of Durham; and nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday evening from 7-9pm at the Howerton & Bryan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Duke HomeCare and Hospice, Office of Development, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704.
