Dan Brisson Obituary

Dan Brisson, Jr., 83, went home to be with His Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2005. Funeral services will be held on 3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Dan Brisson, Jr. was born March 10, 1922and was born again into the Family of God when he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour in March of 1955.
Mr. Brisson was a World War II Air Force Veteran. He had been a member of the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church for 50 years where he was an active participant in the men's Sunday school class, the Page Bible Class. He was an avid fisherman and gardener well into his later years. Most importantly, he dearly loved his children and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca Talley Brisson; daughter, Phyllis Brisson Lane and husband, Dr. Don G. Lane of Fuquay-Varina; son, David A. Brisson and wife, Edie D. Brisson of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Ashley Lane Tanas and husband, Christopher S. Tanas, Jessie Lane McLaughlin and husband, Rhett McLaughlin, Daniel Brisson, Theodore Brisson and wife, Scotty Brisson, David Aaron Brisson, Rachel Brisson, Justin Rutan; great-grandchildren, Don Christopher Tanas, Isiah Rhett Tanas, Locke Elijah McLaughlin, Mary Scott Brisson; sister,Betty Lou Brisson Mock and husband, Willie Mock of Anderson, SC; brother, Houston Nile Brisson and wife, Irene Brisson of Dublin, NC.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2005 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and other times at the home of Phyllis and Don Lane, 305 E. Academy Street, Fuquay-Varina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Deaf Ministries, P.O. Box 144, Arkport, NY 14807-0144.
