Daniel Hockaday Obituary

Daniel Maynard Hockaday, 32, of Raleigh, died on May 5, 2005 in his sleep at home. Danny was born in Raleigh, November 21, 1972 and was the oldest son of Sidney Maynard Hockaday and Laura Allen Hockaday Miller. He graduated from Sanderson High School in 1991, then attended Durham Technical College where he received a 2-year Electronics Degree. Daniel loved his family, friends, sports, animals, music and managing his internet business.
His is survived by his father, Sidney Hockaday and fiance,</>Virginia Wilkinson of Raleigh; mother, Laura Miller and husband Richard of Wendell, NC; brother, Kevin David Hockaday of Raleigh; and grandmother, Gertie Wood Allen Lewis of Smithfield, NC.
The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home on Monday, May 9, 2005 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Pines Baptist Church, 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial to follow at Montlawn Cemetery.
Flowers are welcomed or memorial donations may be made to the Green Pines Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7209 Glenwood Ave is serving the Hockaday family, 783-7128.
