David Byrd Obituary

Raleigh, North Carolina - David Kenneth Byrd, 66, loving father, husband, and brother, passed away on Monday January 24, 2022. He was born on February 5, 1955 in Winston Salem, N.C. and was the son of the late John and Helen Byrd. He received a BS in Business Administration from UNC Chapel Hill in 1977. An entrepreneur from the early age of 14, he successfully built Byrd Printing Company, which currently remains in the family. David's life was the epitome of kindness, love, laughter, respect, and compassion. He never missed the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful sunset and share time with friends.
David leaves behind wife Charlotte, son David Austin Byrd and partner Heveen, son Bentley George Magazis and wife Anna, sister Karen Betler, brother John Byrd and wife Nancy, grandsons Camden and Elias, and nieces Kim Keinat, and Karen Wilson.
The family is planning to gather for a celebration of David's life in Fallon Park on Oxford Road in Raleigh (South entrance) at 2 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages support for Dementia Alliance of N.C., or any organization of need which speaks to your heart, as David contributed that way throughout his life.
