I am so saddened to learn of John's passing away. We grew up together and I considered him a life-long dear friend even though we saw little of each other after growing up due to my living so far away from Mt. Olive. As boys growing up John Jr. was the toughest kid on the block, he seemed immune to pain and was a hard charger, we respected that very much about him. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to know him and to be his friend.

You were always there for me. You done the things no one wanted to do like bring me to the doctor or court and sat and waited for me to come out. Never not once did you complain or say anything about how long it took and a few times it took a while. You helped me when I was at my lowest never to judge me. Always said you would help me if id help myself . And that didn't mean for me to li e like you said but to be me just to be the best me.. I know I had to of got on your last nerve sometimes yet you would just make a joke out of it and laugh. If I was being stupid you would tell me and I usually changed up. I have the most respect for you ,you are the best person Ive ever met in my life . I will miss you . But I know you are not hurting any longer and you are with mama and dad. Watching o er us. I am privileged to had you in my life. I love you David John and will miss you bunches.
