Doris Matthews Eakes

Doris Matthews Eakes, 81, of 7705 Jenks Rd., Apex, died peacefully at home Saturday evening, April 15th. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a very deep love for children.
A service celebrating her life and home going will be held on Tuesday April 18th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex. Dr. Joe Brothers and Rev. Lee Eakes will officiate. Burial will be in Raleigh Memorial Park, Hwy 70, Raleigh.
Mrs. Eakes was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie C. and Zula Faucette Matthews of Henderson, and also by a grand daughter, Angela Boling.
She is survived by her husband, Hearsel W. Eakes of the home; by two daughters, Betty Boling Tripp andhusband, Gerald, Jr. of Grifton, NC, and Mary L. Eakes and husband, Sean Murray of Dunn; by two sons, Kenneth W. Eakes, and Martin R. Eakes and his wife, Gale, all ofApex. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Bobby Boling and wife, Adrianna of Fuquay-Varina, Kelley Eakes, Wesley R. Eakes, and Krystal Eakes, all of Apex, Addie Eakes, Michael Murray, and Anna Eakes, all of Dunn; and by two great grandchildren, Brielle A. Boling and Alyssa C. Boling, both of Fuquay-Varina.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 17th, at the Apex Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
