Dorothy Henthorn Memoriam

Dorothy Eileen Henthorn

December 14, 1918 - August 28, 2016

Mom, today would have been your 98th birthday. We miss celebrating your birthdays and the holidays with you. We so admire what you accomplished in your life. Having immigrated to the United States at age five, your family settled in right away. You worked for Quaker City Life until you married Dad and together raised two children. You survived breast cancer in your fifties and graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts while your children were in college. You rescued countless animals, lent your beautiful singing voice to your church choir, threw the very best birthday parties, created marvelously inventive Halloween costumes, baked cookies packed with love, and whipped up the fluffiest, most delicious mashed potatoes. You were always impeccably dressed, complete with hat, handbag and gloves. We are so thankful that you received the very best care at Pittsboro Christian Village in your last year. Yes, we miss you so but are comforted that you have been reunited with our earthly and heavenly fathers. Much love from your children, Bill (Marsha) Henthorn and Pat Hain; your grandchildren, Chuck (Laura) Hain, Wynna (Jason) George, Mike (Angela) Henthorn, and Dan (Danielle) Henthorn; and your great grandchildren, Megan Henthorn, Asher Henthorn, Hayden Henthorn,

Charles Hain and Anna Hain.
