Douglas Medlin Obituary
Douglas Cornell Medlin, 58, a loving husband and father, died Tuesday morning at his home. He was a retired electrician with IBEW local 553 and a disabled Vietnam veteran serving with the US Army. He was the son of the late Douglas D. Medlin and Iantha Jeffreys Lewis.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pearce Baptist church cemetery with Military Honors.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa P. Medlin; daughters, Candice and Ashleigh Medlin, both of the home; sister, Donna King of Louisburg; father and mother-in-law, Elmo and Betty Rose Privette of Zebulon; nieces and nephews; great niece and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary's St., Raleigh, NC 27605.
The family will receive friends 12:45-1:45 p.m. Thursday at Pearce Baptist Church prior to the service and other times at the home.

Lisa and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Cornell's passing. I can remember the last time I show him. It was just after the World Trade Center attacks and we were both at the airport flying out. It was after our grandmothers funeral. I'm not sure if you will even remember me. Time sure does go by quickly.
You and the girls and the rest of the family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
