To the family of Dr. Oatman......
A delayed message of sympathy from the son of a fellow 34th Pursuit Squadron member on Bataan, James Byron Brock. I have a copy of Dr. Oatman's book "Bataan: Only the Beginning", and it helps me understand the events of those early years. Dad passed away in 1972.
If any of the family would like to contact me, I am at [email protected]

To the family of Earl Oatman, I can't say enough about your father. He was very dear to me and also to my dad Vernon Fassoth. I have wonderful memories of Earl which I will treasure forever. I'll never forget the stories he told of my Grandparents and Uncle. Stories I have shared with my children and grand children. Earl was not only a survivor but a remarkable man. I will miss dearly and will cherish the memories we had together.
God Bless You All,
Lily Fassoth-Goer

I couldn't have asked for a better father-in-law...I had the privilege of knowing my dad for 5 yrs, and from day one, we had a connection. My children and I will forever have him in our heart...and as my granddaughter Briana would tell him...'I love you with all of my heart...his reply 'I love you with all of my skeleton' - We will miss you dad...until forever.
