Emma R. Denton

Emma Ruth Denton, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother completed her earthly journey and entered eternal rest on November 1, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband Matthew Denton, father, mother, and stepmother, Joseph, Ozellar, and Hettie Milton, sisters, Gladys Cox, Ruby Greenway, Virgie Blackley and a brother Jewel Milton, son-in-law, Jimmy Ware. Emma Ruth spent many happy hours providing childcare for the children of working parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, November 3, 2009 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Randy Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Christian Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Denton is survived by her daughters, Louise Mitchell (Charles), Peggy Ware, Becky Keith (Sammy); son, Glenn Denton (Carolyn), all of Rolesville; four grandchildren, Debbie Sauls, Eddie Keith, Dana Dunn and Matthew Denton; four great-grandchildren, Trey Stotesbury, Adam Keith, Ryan Sauls and Sarah Keith; sisters, Mamie Hicks and Josie Brummitt of FL. Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Rolesville Baptist Church General Fund, P.O. Box 185, Rolesville, NC 27571. Special appreciation and thanks are expressed to the staff of the Rest Home and Unit 1 at Hillside Nursing Center. Every act of kindness shown to her during the last three years is much appreciated.
