Frances Floyd Obituary
Raleigh
Frances Grissom Floyd, 86, passed away Sunday afternoon August 23, 2015 at Universal Health Care in Raleigh. She was born in Franklin County daughter of the late Iola Perry Grissom and Harvey Luther Grissom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Floyd, Sr.
Mrs. Floyd was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Raleigh. She was a retired Secretary at Ashland Chemical Company.
Funeral services will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday morning August 26, 2015 at St. James United Methodist Church in Raleigh. A private burial will follow in the Popes Chapel Christian Church Cemetery in Franklinton.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by her daughter, Betsy Floyd Womble and husband Phil of Franklinton; sons, Rex Floyd and wife Denise, Andy Floyd and wife Lisa all of Franklinton; a sister, Louise Bragg of Franklinton; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. James UMC Sanctuary Choir Fund, 3803 St. James Church Road Raleigh, NC 27604 or to the Popes Chapel Christian Church 1237 Pocomoke Rd. Franklinton, NC 27525.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:30 Tuesday evening August 25, 2015 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center 405 South Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587. (919-556-5811)

I used to know Frances when she was a receptionist with Dr. Kopp. I just found out about her death. I am so very sorry but feel she is in a better place!! I will send a contribution to the church soon
