I worked for Dr. Corbin when my husband was in Seminary at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Corbin epitomized the love and care Jesus asked us to show to all people. He restored my faith in the medical community, that not all doctors were "in it for the money". As his assistant I was never to ask anyone to pay, if they did that was fine if not that was fine too. We saw patients all day and night until they stopped coming. He was a kind a generous man, made house calls, and kept up to date on the current trends in medicine..... in the 1980's.... If anyone deserved to live to 96 it is him! God Bless him and his family..... love Robin Wilson

My sincere thoughts and prayers to the Corbin family during their bereavement and sorrow. Dr. Corbin was my late parents family physician. We lived in the community of Bayleaf, N.C. and he would do home visits to the whole community. As a little girl I would listen as they would sing the praises of Dr. Corbin. We were poor and Black and he never discriminated. He never turned a patient away. He was a good kind-hearted man and was respected highly. May God comfort and Bless the family.

Dr. Corbin was indeed, very notable within his profession ... my husband, Phil Corbin, his son, spoke with pride when he told me stories about his Dad making house calls into the night... taking care of his patients... A Truly Incredible MD. Love to all that have been touched by his gift. To you... Steve, Melissa and Phil, in my heart, I know that your father loved you.

The last of of a great doctor that would see his patients all day to the last one.
After his last patint would leave his office he would get in his car and ride to homes late at night to see more patients. I will never forget Dr. Corbin for late niht calls when my mother was too sick to leave her bed.
Rest in peace Dr. Corbin, I will never forget your dedicated kindness.

A great physician has left this earth to be with our heavenly Father. Dr. Corbin could walk into a room and I immediately felt better. He would smile and say, "Tell me how Beth is today". He never aged. His hands always looked like he was 20 years old. He had a photographic memory and could tell you every prescription he had ever written for you. He was a gifted diagnostician. And unlike many doctors today, he genuinely cared for every patient he saw. He loved our family and provided excellent care to us. He retired from practicing medicine in 1985. A sad day in my life. Dr. Corbin, rest in peace and we will see you again one day. To his family, we offer our deepest sympathy.

Dr. Corbin was a kind and caring doctor who provided outstanding service to our elderly loved ones--now gone. We had not realized until seeing his obituary that he was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. That is an exceptional institution and helps explain his skillful work in the community all those years. Wake Forest was blessed to have a man of his caliber and training. Sincere condolences to the family, David and Jeanne Smoot
