George Knowles Obituary

George Knowles, Jr.
Douglas, GA
G.T. Knowles, Jr., age 87, a native of Coffee County, Ga. and WW II veteran, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born on August 22, 1925, in Broxton, GA to the late G.T. Knowles, Sr. and Ethel Butler Knowles.
Dr. Knowles was preceded in death by his wife Dora Beth Roberts Knowles, son George C. Knowles. Survivors include his daughter, Lucinda Knowles Mathews of Huntsville, AL; son, Andrew T. Knowles (Melinda) of Raleigh, N.C.; grandsons, Banner Knowles, Butler Knowles, George Knowles.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 6, 2013 at FUMC, Douglas, GA. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Douglas FUMC Memorial Fund.
