Glen Perry Obituary

Glen Dale Perry

January 13, 1940 - November 5, 2024

Milton, Florida - Glen Dale Perry, 84, of Milton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Glen was born at home in Spencerville, OH to Carl and Wilma Perry. He attended Spencerville High School then graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1962 with a degree in Chemistry. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. At BGSU, he met his future wife, Joanne Maurer. They had four children, Dwayne (Maria), Brenda (Brian), Renée (Tom), and Diane (Bill). They gave him nine grandchildren, Spencer, Cameron, Kenan, Nevada, Graham, Dawson, Ravyn, Landis, and Nolan.

Glen was intelligent and witty with a dry sense of humor. He loved music, especially big band jazz and instilled the love of music in his children and grandchildren. Glen enjoyed playing the piano throughout his life. He was curious about the world and mechanically minded, never afraid to engage in a new project.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Don.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to Jazz Pensacola, The Arthritis Foundation, or your favorite charity.
