Graham Black Obituary

Graham Carson Black
Franklinton
Graham Carson Black, 20, of Franklinton, passed away, Tuesday, June 4, 2013. He was born in Durham County, was a graduate of Franklinton High School and was continuing his education at Wake Technical Community College.
Graham was on track for great things when he was so suddenly taken from us. Always positive and cheerful, his wit and advice were appreciated by his friends, family and co-workers. Graham was a deep thinker. Many evenings were spent with all of us in discussion about religions, and the merit of material things versus life, family and humanity's place in the universe. He was an accomplished musician on the guitar, self-taught, and introduced us to some great music that we would have not otherwise experienced. Graham touched each of us in a way that will always live in our hearts. The dogs will be out in the driveway late at night, waiting for him to return home after work. He will never be too far away, just traveling on his journey through the cosmos. We love you, Graham Black.
A celebration of Graham's life will be held Monday morning, June 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
Graham is survived by his parents, John & Lisa Carson Black of Franklinton; sisters, Caitlin Black of Oak Ridge, TN and Chelsea Black of Rolesville; grandfather, Henry Black of Wake Forest; many friends and extended family
Friends may visit with the family from 7-8:30 Sunday evening June 9, 2013 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center 405 South Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587. (919-556-5811)

There are only two different kinds of people in our world. First, would be the people that do, and second, would be the people that don't. We know that Graham was one of those who did.

By "that" I refer to those who believed, those who learned, those who shared, and those who prevailed.

For such a Man has been granted worthy, as the Holy Light has been bestowed upon Him.

Poignantly sad memories will pay its homage in clearing secluded paths, yet at last the accrued tasks can be firmly grasped.

Push against each other's fears, and wipe away each other's tears, giving each other higher self-esteem, and finding fortitude, that by oneself was greatly lacking.
