Gregory Wright Obituary
Greg is survived by his wife, Suellen Russo Wright and children, Kevin and Erin. He was the son of Milton and Carole Wright.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Fowler Wright.
Surviving siblings include: his brother, Steve and wife, Leigh Wright, step siblings, Skip and Billy Overton and Debbie Hall. He was loved by all of his family members and friends.
Greg was born on July 16, 1963 in Greensboro, NC and is a graduate of Elon University. He was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He was an avid woodworker and tennis player. His love for Christ was expressed in his role as an outstanding husband and father. He provided never ending support for those in need. He was most proud of watching his children play sports, and his ability to provide for his family.
Family will receive friends 7:00- 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene, 9200 Strickland Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: the 529 college fund for Kevin and Erin Wright.
Checks should be made out to the Minnesota College Savings Plan and mailed to 2901 Hostetler Street, Raleigh, NC 27609.
Arrangements by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Millbrook Road.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Greg's passing today. I worked as the receptionist where Greg got his hair cut. He was easy to work with when we needed a schedule change. His humor and good looks brought a smile to everyone's face when he entered the salon. He always gave us updates on the children's activities. What a pleasure it was to have known a little part of him. He will be missed.

He spoke of his family every time we were together and I know he loved all of you very much. Suellen, Kevin and Erin: I have known Greg professionally for many years including his time with Key Risk and Travelers. I have never been as surprised and saddened by death as I was when I heard of Greg's passing. I know you will miss him terribly as all of us will who knew him in the insurance business.
Greg always had a friendly smile and a sparkle in his eye. He made us feel that he was truly glad to see us whenever he visited our office. We always knew we could rely on Greg whenever we needed his help. May God give you and your family strength to help you through this difficult time.

I was heartbroken to hear from Matt Castaldo that Greg had passed. He was one of the most special parts of North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene and showed a Godly spirit each time I encountered him. The childrens church wing will never be the same without him standing there greeting each family that comes through the doors. He was truly a treasure. Just by virtue of how many friends and associates were at the church, it's obvious that Greg touches many people by his very existence. I know he is basically a second brother to me. We have shared so many experiences over the past years that I don't know where to begin when remembering them.
He is my 'Let's go to Starbucks' buddy. 'Let's day trip to Burlington to look at hardwood for a project' buddy. 'Let's catch the new superhero/James Bond/Will Farrell movie' buddy.
I've grown used to Greg calling my cellphone during the workday (at least once or twice a week), just to ask what I was doing. When I told him I was working, he'd ridicule me merciously inferring that what I do for a living isn't real work. And in the next breath telling me how good the company reimbursed steak was he had for lunch! I will miss those calls....
Our trips and vacations with Greg, Sueellen and our families... they are beyond my simple words to express how much we enjoy sharing our lives with theirs.
Greg is my best friend. It would not surprise me to know that there are others that feel the same way. He truly is a special man.
I promise that from now to when we meet again, I will never enjoy our favorite 'grande, triple pump, no whip, skim mocha' without thinking of all of those we've shared over the years.
I also know one thing for sure.... Greg is now in the presence of the Father we all share, watching us celebrate his life.

Words can not express how much I hurt for all of you. I am so, so sorry. I thought the world of Greg and owe much of my sucess in business to him. He went far past a business associate to a dear friend. I will treasure the good times I was able to share with him, I feel so fortunate to have been able to share life with him.
