I knew Guy and Ingrid since they were married through my former wife Joanne Hawkins. We visited them frequently. His attitude and healthy outlook on life was both impressive and heart warming to me. I recall sharing so many good times and great conversation with Guy.
Sometime in the late 1980's I was invited to visit him and his wife Ingrid while they were on a government mission in India for about 2 weeks. I was amazed by the sites traveled quite a bit while there. Unfortunately I became very ill with food poisoning and had a very high fever of over 105 degrees. I don't remember much as I became increasingly ill except I woke up facing Guy while he was reviving me with an alcohol bathing treatment to reduce my fever. Long story short, I am here today thanks to Mr Baird. I'll never forget him because of that and so many other things. God bless him and may he rest in peace forever.
