Jake J. Rogers, 61, departed this earthly life on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Jake retired from the N C Dept of Public Health.
Survivors include his mother, Ophelia R. Lanier; sisters, Erma A. Spears (James); Shelia R. Robinson (John), Cynthia R. Hopkins (Donald); brother, Roland O. Rogers; aunts, Janet G. Williams and Mamie Jackson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2013, at Haywood Funeral Home Chapel, preceded by a 1:30 pm visitation. Plants welcomed or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Haywood Funeral Home, Inc., (919) 832-2835, www.Haywoodfh.com
