James M. Bartholomew

March 15, 1938 - January 31, 2017

Louisburg

James M. Bartholomew, 78, departed this earthly life, Monday, January 31, 2017, at Rex Hospital. Born on March 15, 1938 to the late Obie D. and Mildred H. Bartholomew. James loved western movies, country music, Nascar racing and all sports.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Service, Louisburg. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Saints Delight Baptist Church with Reverend Tucker Bailey officiating.

James is survived by his significant other, Joan Hill of Youngsville; brother, J. Beal Bartholomew of Raleigh; nieces, Pam and Alysia Bartholomew both of Raleigh; nephew, Joseph B. Bartholomew, II (Stephanie) and a great niece, Isla Bartholomew all of New York.
