James Little Obituary
Memorial service will be held at Highland Presbyterian Church on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception in the Fellowship Hall immediately following. A second memorial service will be held in Raleigh at the White Memorial Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Mr. Little was born March 9, 1944 in Laurinburg, NC to James A. and Lucille Q. Little.
He is survived by his mother, Lucille; brothers, Lee and Mike Little, of Fayetteville; nieces, Honesty Williams and Juliana Little; nephew, Kyle Little; and countless friends.
A graduate of Fayetteville Senior High, UNC Chapel Hill, where he pledged the Chi Psi fraternity, and UNC School of Law, Mr. Little started his legal career as Deputy District Attorney and then Public Defender in Fayetteville, NC. He practiced law in the private sector with the Jim Nance law firm before moving to Raleigh and joining the Public Staff of the North Carolina Utilities Commission from which he retired.
Mr. Little also served as an officer in the Army during the Vietnam War era.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

We were at a friend's home when we read of Jimmy's death. It was then too late to attend his funeral, or we would have been there. We will always remember his smiling face and friendly manner. Our sincerest condolences.

Jimmie was a great friend to my mother Ruth Cook and our family for many years. We will miss his laughter and jolly spirit. The kindness and generosity he showed my mother .. and all of us... are just a few examples of his loving and caring spirit.

Lee stated the most obvious thing to say about Jimmie which is that he was wealthy in his stock of friends, as he has them in abundance and we all miss him. We share your sadness and appreciate greatly your having a Raleigh memorial service.
