James Signore Obituary

James Daniel Signore, formerly of West Haven, CT, passed away in the comfort of his home on Sunday, December 16, 2007. Born on July 4, 1925 in New Haven, CT; he was the son of the late Daniel and Lucy Porto Signore.
James graduated from Syracuse University and served honorably in the US Navy during WWII. He was a retired accountant and worked in the automobile industry for many years.
James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine Errico Signore; son, Paul Louis Signore and wife, Julie, of Maui, Hawaii; daughters, Judy T. Ramquist and husband, Neil, of Raleigh, Jamie Dee McDonald and husband, Douglas, of Bethel, CT; by his grandchildren, Frank L. Tortora III, Elise N. Tortora, and Kiyo L. Akiyama; by his brother, Joseph A. Signore and wife, Jackie, of Chatham, MA; and by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Austin James Signore; by his brother, Ralph Signore; and by his sister, Louise Camarda.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County - 1300 St. Mary's Street 4th Floor - Raleigh, NC 27605.
