Janet Hermanson Obituary
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Hermanson McCuen. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Hoskins Santos and her husband, Mike Santos; sisters, Carol Alexander, Nancy Kiesenhofer, and Barbara Hermanson and brothers, Steve Presgraves (Mel) and Rik Hermanson (Anna) and brother-in-law, Timothy McCuen.
Janet's career path after graduating from Page High School in Greensboro, NC in 1969 led her into banking where she worked for First Citizens Bank for 20+ years. Her next adventure took her to Lexington, VA where she was employed by Virginia Military Institute. While there, Janet was able to obtain through assistance with VMI her father's long delayed awarding of his WWII Bronze Star medal presented to him at a military ceremony with family in attendance. After moving back to Raleigh, and in order to keep busy in retirement, Janet went to work for Whole Foods.
Memorial contributions may be made to William M. Dunlap Center for Caring, 200 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
A memorial celebration for Janet will be held at a later date in Greensboro, NC.

I have lovely memories spending time with you. You introduced me to my love of perfumes and all things that smell good. I loved it when you would take me & Katie to Bath & Body Works, and boy... when I was in middle & high school, that was THE BEST TREAT EVER!! Rest in peace. Janet and I last saw each other about three years ago when we ran into each other at a book signing for a fellow Class of `69 friend. We had a great time recalling memories of our moms, who were co-leaders of our Girl Scout troop, and the many camping trips we took together during those years. My sympathies to all her family.
