Dr. Elliot was one of my favorite professors at NCCU. As I'm sure many political science majors can say. I just remember Model UN with Professor Elliot in Fayetteville, NC as well as receiving the "You received a A in Dr. J" cap given to all students that made an A in one of Elliot's courses. The list goes on.....I just appreciate his spirit and the laughter that he brought to the classroom as well as personally. Will never forget you Dr. Elliot and you was loved and will be missed.....

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. I consider Dr. Elliot to to have been my mentor and friend. I will miss his encouragement, humor, and advice which have helped me tremendously through the years. He was the only professor I still kept in touch with from my undergraduate years at NCCU and someone I highly respected. The students should know that they have lost a confidante, a friend, and a mentor with his passing. I am honored to have known him. He will be in my heart and mind forever. Prof Crystal L. Todd-Yelverton, NCCU School of Law
