I first heard of this tragic event when I heard it on the 11 o'clock news and heard the names Jeffrey and Scott Mitchell. My heart sank when I realized this was the precious son of Iva Lou with whom I worked for several years. I'm so sorry your family has to go through this pain and sadness. Thinking of you every day.

I am so filled with sadness at this. that I do not even know what to say. I am so, so sorry at the loss of Jeff, a sweet and wonderful person, who I met the first time at 6 years old. The first time we ever met was when we moved to Raleigh, and Jeff and his family lived beside us, and Jeff's push lawn mower was in my yard, and Jeff came running and said "That's mine, and I said, Its mine, and we began fighting like crazy! We became the best of friends, and the last time I saw Jeff he was the proudest father on the face of the earth. Never forget the time we got in his Dad's car, and threw it in reverse and it went flying down the driveway and into Bloodworth St with his Daddy chasing us and yelling and trying to stop the car, or playing basketball, catching crayfish, rolling down hills in refrigerator boxes. I love you my dear friend, and my heart is so heavy that you are not here, and for the terrible hurt your family is going through once again. I am so sorry. Be free now sweet Jeff and fly high and mighty. You were loved by so many.
