Wake Forest
Jerome Bradley "Dock" Liles, 85, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Rex Healthcare. He was born November 27, 1929 in Wendell to Otha Elvis Liles and Maude G. Liles. He served his country in the US Army. He retired from the automotive repair business and owned Gulf Stations in the area. He married the late Nancy Marie Lewis Liles, who preceded him in death on December 2, 2005. Dock was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
Funeral service 11:00 am Thursday, June 25, 2015 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the funeral home.
Surviving: daughters; Teresa Liles Clemmons (Ronald) Marie Liles Karageorge (George); son, Jerome Bradley Liles, Jr (Marsha); grandchildren: Nancy Anna Karageorge, Trent Liles, Taylor Rose Liles; brother, Mack Liles (Ann).
In addition to his parents and wife, Dock was preceded in death by his brothers: Frank, Marshall, Harry, Randolph, Fred, Otha; sisters: Jessie Baker, Eva Allen, Bertha Spicer.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to The Kennedy Home for Children, 2557 Cedar Dell Lane, Kinston, NC 28504.

Doc is my "step uncle". My mother is married to Mack Liles. Doc was a great guy and would do anything for you. I remember when he owned the Gulf gas stations during the time Jimmy Carter was president and the Oil embargo was in effect. During that time, you were limited on how much gas you could buy. I lived out of state in Virginia. Doc always made sure I had enough gas (full tank) when I was leaving to go back to Virginia where I was stationed. Rest in peace, Doc. I always have fond memories of you!
