Jeff, Jon & Judi:
There are so many good memories of your mom. Camping as a family in Michigan and Myrtle Beach was always great fun. Our three trips to the Canadian Island are unforgettable along with the Danube River Cruise, trip to Alaska. the Pacific Northwest and Branson. Joann had such an upbeat personality. It lit up the room and made you happy to be there. Joann made it easy to laugh with her. She always looked great in pictures. Jonathan, thank you for giving me some special time when I can to the visitation for your mom. She was one of the really beautiful people - both inside and out. I treasure the memories of swim meets with Tarheel Aqua Races and the good times we had so many years ago. Her passing made me realize that wonderful era of my life is really over. It is very hard to lose your mom, and I wish you and your family God's peace as you treasure the memories of her impact on your life. Blessing, Ceil Blackwell

Dear John,
Your mom was larger than life and I always enjoyed talking with her when I came over to babysit for you. One memory I have is how she usually came running through the kitchen for her date with your dad with freshly painted nails! She was always so beautiful, especially her stature and her stunningly blue eyes. She was upbeat and friendly, and full of warmth for others. Looking through your many photos, I am so pleased to see all of the family and the many grandchildren who brought joy to her years.
