John Bendure Obituary

JUNE 10, 1958 - DECEMBER 1, 2006
John W. Bendure, Jr., 48, of 1309 Lakeside Drive, passed away suddenly Friday, December 1, 2006.
John was a forensic chemist for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, for 26 years. John was also trained in fiber investigating and arson as well as weapons of mass destruction. John loved his work, and was highly trained in forensics. He received numerous awards of recognition for his excellent service. He was also an instructor for the S.B.I. Academy for crime scenes. Many district attorneys across the state noted that John was one of the best and most respected prosecution witnesses for the state. John was also a member of the Garner First Baptist Church and Garner Optimist Club.
He was a 1976 graduate of Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville and a 1980 graduate of NC State University. He was a devoted Wolfpack fan. He was a loving husband, son, father , brother and uncle.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Aversboro Baptist Church. The burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
John is survived by his loving family, daughter, Christina Bendure; sons, Daniels and Joshua Bendure; parents, John Sr. and Janice Bendure of Spring Lake; sisters, Carol Budzynski and husband, Michael of Garner, and Joy Davis and husband, John of Cameron; also survived by wife, Brianna Bendure.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Garner First Baptist Church, 601 St. Mary's Street, Garner, NC 27529 (919)772- 1772.
The family will also receive friends at 12685 Cleveland School Road, Garner.
The family will receive friend from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
