I first met John when we were in High School. He played trumpet and our little music group often met at his house to rehearse. I considered him to be my friend and I think he reciprocated.

I am sorry that he has passed. A multiclass reunion is being held in September and John will be missed. Hopefully I will be there but--only G-d knows for sure.

Please accept my condolences. Johnny will be in my heart and mind for all of the rest of my days.
