Dean and I were in Greenville two weeks ago and asking about you and John. However it was only today in talking with Roy Wittman that we learned of John's passing. We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers will be with you. Jim and Dean

I first met John when we were in High School. He played trumpet and our little music group often met at his house to rehearse. I considered him to be my friend and I think he reciprocated.
I am sorry that he has passed. A multiclass reunion is being held in September and John will be missed. Hopefully I will be there but--only G-d knows for sure.
Please accept my condolences. Johnny will be in my heart and mind for all of the rest of my days.
