I was very sorry to hear of John's death-- my sympathies to his family. John was my first boss at the Attorney General's office starting in 1979 and I had the honor of working with him until 1985. He was always helpful and supportive -- a valued colleague quite early in my career.

John was one of the finest people that I have ever known. He and I went to the Submarine Veterans meetings and John was very happy to be attending and visiting with fellow veterans. Visited John regularly at Mayview and he was always glad for those meeetings.
Will miss John.

We have fond memories of John and Anne in their visits to the Mars Hill College summer conferences and worshipping together with them at First Baptist Church in Raleigh. Our prayers and thoughts are with Anne and the family at this time. Corbin and Joann Cooper in Penney Farms, Florida
