Durahm, North Carolina - Joseph Paul Normand Cutlip, 23, was killed on Friday, November 4, 2022, in Durham when his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle. He was born in Durham to Solomon Cutlip and Adrienne L'Homme.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is also survived by his brother, James Ryan Cutlip; stepmother Crystal Cutlip and stepbrothers Jacob and Jason Robinson, and his mother's partner, Eddie Bauer; his fiance, Abigail Lloyd; maternal grandparents, Bert and Margaret L'Homme; paternal grandfather, Montie Cutlip; paternal grandmother, Toni Barger; aunts and uncles, Jannice and Kerry Verne, Julie and Alex Tcherkassky, Jeremy Stewart, Lorin and Jeremy Cohen; and cousins, Jack Verne, Luke Verne, Olivia Dotson, Lily and Holland Cohen.
Joseph attended Durham Technical Community College and completed the courses in auto mechanics. After working as an auto mechanic for several years, he worked for the last two years at Apex Plumbing and Heating. When he wasn't working, he restored Ford trucks and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was happiest in the garage restoring his vehicles.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, November 11th at Holy Family Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, November 10th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Clements Funeral Home at 141 North Churton Street in Hillsborough, NC.
