Mr. Joseph J. Lack, 89, died Tuesday May 29 at Falls River Village in Raleigh. Mr. Lack was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Dorothy, his wife of 60 years, predeceased him.
He is survived by daughter Elaine Dompka, son-in law Regis and their son Alec of Raleigh; son John and daughter-in-law Novita of Basking Ridge, NJ; daughter Diane Harder and son-in law Henry of Kingston, NY; son Richard Lack and daughter-in-law Amy of Alamo, CA. He had seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lack served on the USS Bunker Hill in the Asian Theatre during World War II, then attended Stevens Institute of Technology in Jersey City, NJ. He was an electrical engineer spending the majority of his career with IBM.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 Monday at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh. A visitation will begin at 11:30 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Homecare and Hospice or The Alzheimer's Association.
