Joyce W. Cashwell

Mrs. Joyce Weeks Cashwell, 73, of 1141 Carr Church Rd., died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Wake Med in Raleigh. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 21st, 2009, at Carr Memorial Christian Church in Clinton with Rev. Penny Ziemer officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove. Mrs. Cashwell, a native of Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Glenn Weeks and Maggie Bass Weeks, and was the widow of Edward Odell Cashwell. She was a member of Carr Memorial Christian Church and retired as an administrative assistant with the N.C. Department of Labor after 30 years. Survivors are her son, Eddie Cashwell and wife, Kelly of Clayton; a daughter, Tracie Cashwell of Raleigh; granddaughter, Grace Cashwell, and grandson, Grayson Cashwell; a sister, Rosalind Edwards and husband, Mack of Clinton; and a brother, Tony Weeks and wife Connie of Clinton. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton and at other times at the home, 1141 Carr Church Rd., Clinton.
