I will always cherish the special times spent at Aunt Katherine and Uncle John's house. We always looked forward to the goodie bags she would prepare for us for our road trip back to Greenville. She taught me how to paint my nails and helped create my life-long fascination with jewelry and shoes. When I was 6 or 7 I had my heart set on some beautiful shoes that were too expensive. Aunt Katherine came to the rescue and whispered to my mom "you buy the left one and I will buy the right one". Although she did spoil me at times, I knew what she valued most of all was God, family, and education. I learned so much from her and I will miss hearing her stories about how she ran her classroom back in the day. Aunt Katherine always made people feel special by always asking to hear about everything happening in their life. She was such as kind and generous person and I will miss her so much!

What a wonderful life well-lived! I had the wonderful experience of having my seventh grade English teacher give me a loved for poetry that I still value and treasure. Heaven will be even more wonderful with her presence.
