Bahama, North Carolina - BAHAMA: Kelly Dianne Branch, 63, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was born in Sylvania, Georgia to the late Rohland and Suzanne Kerkhoff but grew up in Massachusetts from an early age when her family moved to Taunton.

Kelly attended Boston University where she studied fashion merchandising. She worked in the fashion industry and met her husband of 38 years while he was in medical school. They moved to Durham, NC and she became a homemaker caring for her husband and raising 2 lovely daughters. Kelly was involved in starting the autism support group in Durham County and an avid supporter of the NC Autism Society and Voices Together. She loved animals and was especially fond of cats (as are her daughters) despite her husband being a dog person.

Mrs. Branch is survived by her husband, Dr. Stan Branch; daughters, Kate and Lea Branch; brother, Hal and wife Stacey Kerkhoff; nephew, Kyle Kerkhoff; niece, Kelsey and her husband, Sam Duffy-Protentis and their children, Brody and Blake. Her loss is completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened. She will be greatly missed and always loved.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday May 2, 2024 between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.
