Kenneth Earl "Kenny" Peebles, 67, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017. He was born February 2, 1950 in Wake County to the late Julius Pervel Peebles and Evelyn Harris Peebles. He was the owner of Kenneth E. Peebles Painting and Decorating. Kenny was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he was involved in Men for Missions and game director with Kids 4 Truth for over 25 years. He was a devoted husband, father and Paw Paw. Kenny had a servant's heart and was well known for his sense of humor.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church, 5510 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, 27609. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, 27601.
The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at the church.
Surviving: wife, Mary Ann Anderson Peebles; daughters: Holly Powell of Knightdale, Heather Kimball (Aaron) of Selma; grandchildren: Madison, Sydney, Austin Powell, Logan and Hunter Kimball; sisters: Kay Peebles of Wake Forest, Ann Tippett of Four Oaks; brother, Lynn Peebles (Renee) of Zebulon; several nieces and nephews and their families.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, Men for Missions.
