Not sure what to say?

May 6, 2016

I am David Eric Covington and Phil was my First Cousin, whom I loved, admired and respected. He was in one word KIND. He was kind to all he met friends, kin and strangers. As the NC motto reads: esse quam verderi...(forgive the spelling) but Phil truly was the essence of "to be rather to seem". He will not be replaced but will always be remembered. My sincerest condolences to all my cousins on the passing of your father, uncle, brother, grandfather, etc. I have many fond memories of Phil. One of my favorites is that he would take mercy upon me when I was an undergrad and take me to dinner once in a while. He made it clear that he did this despite I was a student at NC State. I will miss him.
