Ed, I was so sorry to learn of the death of your mother. However, I know how much she taught you and how she shaped your faith with her model Christian life. I know there will always be an empty place in your heart that only she could fill. It was so wonderful that you got to share so many years with her here on this earth. Now you can look forward to sharing eternity with her! She is probably visiting with all of the greats that you have shared the stage with in your lifetime. She's probably telling J.D. Sumner and George Younce how you are the absolutely BEST bass singer there is in gospel music! Just know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May the God who loves you give you the song of peace and comfort to sustain you during this time. I love you. Sharon Dyson (Carol Lawson's "sissy")

Aunt Lottie will surely be missed by my family. Growing up, we always loved "going to Aunt Lottie's" hearing all her stories about growing up on the Jones farm, and walking out in her yard to see all her beautiful flowers and, always, her peacocks! She could make any plant grow and look wonderful. Even as an adult I enjoyed hearing her stories, even though they became more embellished the more she told them! I am thankful that our sons were able to get to know Aunt Lottie. We know you are resting in peace with our Lord right now and no longer in any pain. We are praying for the O'Neal family and friends.

Louis, Ed, and Barbara,
Your Mother was indeed a special person. I have known her for over 40 years and served alongside her at Mount Olivet Baptist Church for many of those years. A very strong-willed person, she did not hesitate to let you know if you did something she did not condone, and I am a much better person because of her. She was generous almost to a fault; I have many items which I treasure for they were gifts from her when I expressed admiration for them.
We have laughed together, cried together, prayed together, and talked on the telephone many hours. Today I can rejoice in knowing that she is finally "home" where she has so longed to be for these past few years.
The greatest tribute I can give this wonderful lady is to say she is a true personification of the Proverbs 31 woman. She dearly loved all of her children and grandchildren, and never tired of praising them in their endeavors.
