She was my sophomore AP English. She was WONDERFUL!!! We all loved her, even though she really challenged us. The worst thing she ever did was make us read "Billy Budd"! We are having our 40th high school reunion next year (2020), and we're all still talking about how much we loved her. What a legacy!!!

Mrs. Mileski was one of the toughest, but best teachers I had at Ragsdale. She will always be remembered. I was saddened to hear the news but know she is a good place now.

"Miss Parker" was a wonderful English teacher, and I was sad for Elizabethtown when she moved to Charlotte. Interestingly in a small-world sort of way, she moved to East Mecklenburg High School where she taught my best friend English as well. We discovered we'd both had "Maggie" when we were talking one day while undergraduates working as staff writers for The Old Gold and Black student newspaper at Wake Forest University. My condolences to all the members of the extended Parker family. I've always considered "Miss Parker" one of my best-ever teachers!

I am grateful for Mrs. Mileski’s guidance and patience with me at Ragsdale; and her fellowship at Maryfield. Maggie was always warmly giving, always compassionately forgiving and always an inspiration.
