Marguerite Loddengaard Obituary

Marguerite Ross VanGiesen Loddengaard
Hillsborough
Marguerite Loddengaard (Peggy) died peacefully on Friday August 24 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded by her husband, Robert Loddengaard and her sister, Sally Shoales.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Egan Vogel; her four children, David, James, Thomas, and Nancy Loddengaard; her five grandchildren, Kathryn, Alex, Carly, Amy and Peter; and her sister in-law, AastarBreining.
Peggy was active in the Amity Methodist Church where she worked as secretary for many years and sang in the church choir. She also loved to sing in shape note and sacred harp choirs. Peggy was a secretary for the UNC-CH and she was a generous donor to children's causes, conservation organizations and groups that promoted organic foods. Peggy was a beekeeper for many years and was active in the local association. She was an avid gardener her whole adult life.
In the last months and weeks of her life,she was lovingly supported by her neighbors, church members, and family.
Peggy was a quiet person, always thoughtful and kind. She was loved by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be announced in the near future and will be held at the Amity Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to UNC Hospice.
