Wake Forest, North Carolina - Marion Joseph Humphrey "MJ", 69, of Wake Forest passed away on November 8, 2021. He was born on July 27, 1952 in Birmingham, AL to the late Louis M. and Lois Humphrey. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Brown Humphrey; children, Nicole H. Dumas, Marcus J. Humphrey, Sr. and Alexander H. Denson all of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren; three sisters, two brothers and a host of relatives and friends.
MJ was a member of the Triangle Church of Christ in Durham, North Carolina for more than 21 years. He was a salesperson extraordinaire and established his own real estate firm in 2016, Achieve Real Estate LLC.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Triangle Church of Christ, 2103 Page Road, Durham, NC 27703. Burial, St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery, Durham. Public viewing on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home of Angier, Inc., 50 Tippet Road, Angier, NC 27501. Visitation with the family from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be sent to Howard University at https://giving.howard.edu/givenow or WakeMed at https://www.wakemed.org/giving/donate-now.
