Matthew Salyer Obituary
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel. Burial, Wilson's Mills Christian Church Cemetery.
Surviving: parents, Ron and Cindy Salyer; brothers, Shannon Salyer, Jeffrey Goode, Justin Goode, all of Knoxville, TN; sister, Jessica Salyer of Raleigh; nephew, Cody Goode; niece, Madeline Salyer; maternal grandmother, Ruth H. Meade of Wise, VA; paternal grandparents, William and Charlotte Salyer of Kingsport, TN; aunt, Patty Miller and husband, Keith of Houston, TX; uncles, Dr. William Salyer, Jr. and wife, Randi of Sumter, SC, Duane Meade of Wise, VA, Bob Ambroe of Lompoc, CA.
Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; James H. Meade.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Matthew Blake Salyer Memorial Fund, c/o Capital Bank, 8816 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home.

I will be keeping Matt's family in my deepest prayers. He will be so very much missed. Each time i think of him, all i see is his big gorgeous blue eyes, and that beautiful smile of his. Wish I could hear that laugh just one more time. RIP buddy..

I thought Matt was so swesome and will miss him dearly. My heart goes out to his friends and family. I will never forget the weekend I hung out with Matt.

My children & I were Blessed to have met Matt at Busco Beach last September. He was a very sweet young man. He took the kids riding and showed them around with Clay.. They had so much fun.. My daughter really thought Matt was the coolest guy ever.. We are very sorry for your loss. Our heart goes out to all who knew him..Again we feel very blessed to have gotten the chance to know Matt..He will be greatly missed...

The Ingalls Family will miss you Matt so much! You were one of the first people that we met when we moved here 15 years ago from NY. You are a great person who didn't deserve to die so young (one of my favorite songs "Only the Good Die Young"). You, God knows , are one of the good ones! We miss you!
