Franklinton
Melbadeen House, age 86, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at her home in Franklinton, NC surrounded by her loving family.
A Franklin County native, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Thelma G. Fuller House. Melbadeen was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. She will be remembered as the friendly bank teller and as a loving mother and grandmother. She worked at Burlington Mills, Piggly Wiggly and retired from First Citizens Bank.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl DeMent of Louisburg; her granddaughter, Jamie DeMent of Hillsborough; her sisters, Brenda Hedgepeth and Judy Gardner, both of Louisburg; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Melbadeen was predeceased by her husband, John Henry House; a grandson, Jason Richard DeMent; five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2012 from Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St. in Franklinton with the Rev. Joi Williams and the Rev. David Averette officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
