Wake Forest, North Carolina - Michael Scott Bird, age 75, was born in Greene County, Tennessee on September 18, 1948. He passed away peacefully in Wake County, North Carolina on May 20, 2024.

He was preceded in death by parents; Quentin Scott Bird and Martha Lucille (Norris) Bird and brothers, Tony Allen Bird and Jackie Lee Trantham.

Michael is survived by son; Michael Hilton Bird, daughter, Avery Bernstein (Danny), grandchildren, Eddie Bernstein, Isaac Bernstein and Nehemiah Bernstein.

He enjoyed baseball, playing golf and anything involving auto racing. Michael held a Bachelor of Science in geography from East Tennessee State University. He was a Vietnam Veteran of four years in the United States Army. He spent 16 years working for the USDA and 28 years at U.S. Tobacco Cooperative.

In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to, Holston Home for Children in Greenville, Tennessee.
