Raleigh, North Carolina - Michael Stanley, 53, of Raleigh, formerly of Dunn, died Wednesday, November 10, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Erin; his children, Leah, Luke, and Lauren; all of the home; his mother, Barbara Wood; and stepfather Curtis Wood, of Dunn; sister, Dana (Ron) Hamilton, of Dunn; and brothers, Carl (Jennifer) Stanley of Kernersville; Clay Stanley of Dunn and Clint (Anna) Stanley of Dunn, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Michael was a NC licensed Realtor/Broker, professional real estate photographer and an FAA licensed drone pilot. He was an artist and worked for many years in graphic design. He owned and operated Art Resource Team Inc. in Raleigh for more than 7 years.
Michael was a devoted husband and father; an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, boating and hiking. He was also a problem-solver and entrepreneur who looked at every closed door as a window of opportunity. He was also actively involved in his church, where he served for years on the technical team. He will be deeply missed by his friends, his family and all who knew him.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 4th, at 11am at Michael's home church, Providence Baptist in Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton W. Stanley Sr., and maternal grandparents, Arees Holland Lambert and Earl G. Holland.
