I am so sorry to learn of Nurry's passing. I am the daughter of Alice Spencer Stone who was Nurry's best friend for many years. She called her Alice Dunn. I was able to visit Nurry last year when I traveled to NC to see my Aunt Evelyn. I enjoyed her reminiscing about my mother, who passed away a few years ago.

There are not enough superlatives to fully describe Nurry, but above all else she was a warm, kind, wonderful lady truly full of life. She was like a second mother to me during college and I am forever grateful and feel blessed having known her. Our deepest sympathies go out to all her family whom she cherished greatly. Everyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with Nurry will miss her, but we will always cherish the memories of her.

Mrs. Dodge was a mom to all of us that grew up on Merrie Rd. Even many years later, she would come up and ask about my parents and children. We will hold memories of her close to our hearts. I hope you find peace in your memories and the love that you shared.

To the family of Nurry Ann Dodge from Towny Bailey Crutchfield. Nurry Ann was like a sister to me as we lived across the street from each other on Creston Road. We continued that close relationship over the years. We visited each other frequently, watching each other's children grow and prosper. We shared a trip to Scotland. Our thoughts and prayers area with this family sharing your loss. With love, Towny and Doug Crutchfield
